(Jan. 20-Apr. 8) — On Inauguration Day, Jeremy Lawrence remounted Alan Lareau's cabaret/subversive cris de coeur against the dangers of intolerance. The evening is filled with remarkable songs by 11 queer composer/lyricists from Nazi Germany's Berlin underground, seven of whom were Jewish. The show’s English lyrics and special material are written by Lawrence, who also created the English lyrics on Ute Lemper’s widely praised recording, “Berlin Cabaret Songs.”
